Ottawa, August 22, 2017 – Counsel Public Affairs is pleased to announce that Ben Parsons is joining its Ottawa office in the role of Account Director, Federal Advocacy.

“Ben Parsons is an experienced political operative and multi-talented digital strategist. He is a natural fit for our growing federal government relations practice,” said Counsel President Phil Dewan.

Ben’s experience in federal politics spans the past decade, most recently as Senior Advisor for strategic research in the Liberal Research Bureau in the House of Commons.

Prior to the 2015 election, Ben worked with a variety of non-profit and private sector clients in Western Canada, with a focus on energy and environment policy. He also worked on central campaigns for the BC Liberal Party and Vision Vancouver.

“I’m thrilled to have Ben join Counsel’s Ottawa practice. His knowledge of how government operates and digital advocacy experience will be tremendous assets to our clients,” said Sheamus Murphy, Vice President, Federal Advocacy.
