A creative and proactive strategist with a strong history of engaging diverse stakeholders across the public and private sectors, Lauren has a decade of experience in government, public affairs, and strategic communications.
Most recently, Lauren was the Manager of Business and Stakeholder Engagement with the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada, where she championed issues critical to the competitiveness and growth of member-companies across all levels of government. Lauren played a leading role in the development and implementation of the association’s federal and Ontario advocacy platforms and strategy, resulting in key wins in the transportation, investment, and labour sectors.
Lauren joins Counsel with extensive experience from a broad range of government departments and agencies, including Indian and Northern Affairs (INAC), Correctional Services Canada (CSC), and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). From the design and implementation of meaningful performance indicators, to drafting public policy reporting requirements that improved stakeholder outreach, Lauren has a strong track record of achieving results. She was also the Canadian liaison for the Hudson Institute’s Center for Political-Military Analysis.
Lauren holds a Masters degree in Public Policy and Administration from Carleton University, and a Bachelor (Hons.) from McGill University in Political Science and Economics. She is originally from Montreal, and subsequently has a deep, abiding love for St. Viateur bagels.
