Brooklyn DeForest brings a creative touch to all of her client work at Counsel and is driven to provide quality work every time.
Brooklyn works closely with the Counsel team to provide clients with a range of public affairs services. Before joining Counsel, she worked in Ottawa as a communications and legislative advisor to three Conservative Members of Parliament.
Through her time working on Parliament Hill, Brooklyn honed her skills in developing communications and engagement, legislative plans, event planning, legislative and media monitoring, stakeholder mapping and research.
Brooklyn provided strategic communications advice and media relations support at both the federal and provincial level, and has extensive creative experience in digital marketing, campaign management and content creation/strategy. Her clients have included the Kellie Leitch (Conservative) and Doug Ford (PC Party) leadership campaigns.
Brooklyn has served as the Director of Communications for the Ontario PC Campus Association, where she was the key spokesperson for twenty university chapters across the province. She presently sits on the board of the Conservative Party of Canada electoral district association for Simcoe-Grey.
Brooklyn holds a Bachelor’s degree in public administration and political science from the University of Ottawa.
