CALGARY, Sept. 17, 2019 — Counsel Public Affairs welcomes entrepreneur and global energy expert Art Agolli as Strategic Advisor to its growing business, based out of the Western Canada division.

Agolli is the founder and president of BA Capital, a Calgary-based private equity, merchant banking and strategic advising firm. He has been involved in conservative politics at both the provincial and federal levels in Canada.

He co-founded Bankers Petroleum, a Toronto Stock Exchange- and London Stock Exchange-listed oil company, which was sold to Geo Jade Petroleum of China. Agolli has built several international publicly-traded companies in addition to holding strategic advisory positions with a range of energy and finance companies.

Agolli began his career as a consultant with the World Bank in Washington DC, and also worked in international mergers and acquisitions with Koch Industries Inc.

Agolli received a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Business, and a Master`s Degree in Management, both from Grand Valley State University in Michigan, USA. He has been a Koch Fellow at the Charles Koch Institute and Visiting Scholar at Atlas Economic Research Foundation, both in Washington DC.  Mr. Agolli is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN).  He lives in Calgary, Alberta.
