Virginia Weese is a Senior Consultant at Counsel Public Affairs, based in Toronto.
With experience in provincial and federal politics, Virginia is a public affairs professional specializing in government relations, event planning, advocacy, and strategic communications.
Most recently, she served as Tour Advance for the Leader of the Official Opposition, Pierre Poilievre, where she played a central role in planning and executing high-profile political events and fostering strong relationships with Members of Parliament and key stakeholders in the lead-up to the 2025 federal election.
Prior to this, Virginia was Senior Communications Advisor to the Hon. Greg Rickford, Ontario Minister of Indigenous Affairs and Northern Development, where she led efforts to communicate ministerial priorities, shape messaging, and strengthen relationships with stakeholders and the public.
Virginia also brings experience from a leading public affairs firm, where she supported clients across Canada in developing advocacy strategies, managing communications, and executing impactful campaigns and events.
Beyond her professional work, Virginia is an advocate for children’s health and well-being, volunteering her time with Campfire Circle, a camp for children living with cancer or serious illness.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a specialization in Public Policy from Wilfrid Laurier University.
