Pegah Taj is a Senior Consultant with Counsel Public Affairs, based in Victoria, BC.
Before joining Counsel, Pegah worked at the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, where she served as both a Legislative Assistant and later as the Whip’s Executive Assistant for the Official Opposition of British Columbia. In these roles, she provided executive and operational support in a fast-paced parliamentary environment, working closely with elected officials, caucus members, senior leadership, and stakeholders. Her experience at the Legislature provided firsthand insight into parliamentary procedure, legislative processes, political strategy, and the day-to-day realities of government and opposition operations.
Throughout her time at the Legislature, Pegah supported communications, speeches, debates, stakeholder engagement, scheduling, and strategic priorities. Working in a dynamic political environment allowed her to develop a broad understanding of public affairs and the factors that influence policy development and government decision-making.
Pegah holds a PhD in Business Policy and Strategy and a Master of Global Business with a focus on international business. Her academic and international experience has given her a global perspective and strong cross-cultural communication skills, enabling her to build relationships and navigate complex environments effectively.
