Peter Dalla-Vicenza is a Senior Consultant at Counsel, based in Victoria.
With experience in four provincial governments, Peter is skilled in issues management and crisis communications. He has experience working on complex and politically sensitive files including child welfare, crime suppression and prevention, and public health.
Peter joined Counsel after two decades of serving five NDP Premiers in three Western Canadian provinces. Peter is a passionate and dedicated team player focused on getting good things done. A long-time New Democrat, Peter has also worked in provincial campaign war rooms in Manitoba, Ontario, and B.C.
In the Manitoba government, he was a trusted communications advisor to the Ministers of Health and Justice. He later helped develop health, environmental, and justice policies that were the foundation of the 2007 election platform that resulted in the re-election of Premier Gary Doer.
In Alberta, Peter served as Chief of Staff for the Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation during high-stakes negotiations for funding of light rail transit projects in Calgary and Edmonton. He later worked in the same capacity for the Minister of Culture, helping secure provincial funding that brought the World Junior Hockey Championships to Edmonton and Red Deer.
In BC, Peter was part of an agile four-member quick response team that operated out of the BC caucus that employed war room strategy and tactics outside of campaign periods.
