Counsel is proud to announce the promotion of Darielle Segovia to Senior Consultant, recognizing her strong performance, continued professional growth, and expanding role within the firm’s BC team.
“Darielle’s growth is reflected in her increasing involvement in client-facing work, including events, networking, and government engagement across BC,” said Amanda van Baarsen, Vice President. “Her strong project management skills and commitment to high-quality work make her an invaluable part of our BC team, and we’re excited to recognize her exemplary performance through this promotion.”
In her work with the BC team, Darielle has continued to build on her foundation in government relations, drawing on experience from both the public and private sectors. Before joining Counsel, she worked in the constituency office for a provincial elected official, where she supported policy initiatives, conducted research, and helped deliver community engagement efforts, experience which continues to inform her work today.
“Darielle’s ability to work closely with clients, support strategic discussions, and project management skills speak to the progression we’ve seen in her role,” said Brad Lavigne, Partner. “Her attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with confidence have earned her the trust of our clients and our team. This next step is a natural progression in her career at Counsel.”
In addition to her government relations experience, Darielle brings a background in education and the non-profit sector, including work as a bilingual Early Childhood Educator and involvement with cultural arts organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ottawa and a postgraduate certificate from the Government Relations program at Seneca Polytechnic.
