Counsel Public Affairs Forms Preferred Partnership with Lloyd Rang Communications
[TORONTO, November 10, 2020] Counsel Public Affairs Inc. (Counsel) has entered into a preferred partnership with Lloyd Rang Communications Inc. (LRC).
“Partnering with LRC will help Counsel scale our strategic communications and digital media capabilities to meet the demands of larger clients, merging our highly skilled and experienced comms team with the equally talented, creative professionals at LRC to service projects across North America,” said Phil Dewan, President of Counsel Public Affairs.
“Just as importantly, we’ll be working closely with professionals who share our mission, vision and values — and passion for making sure every clients’ voice is heard,” added Jess Georgakopoulos, Counsel’s Associate Vice President, Communications and Campaigns.
Counsel is one of Canada’s leading public affairs agencies, specializing in government relations, strategic communications, and integrated campaigns. Over the past 16 years, the company has assisted hundreds of major clients in every sector of the economy across the country. With offices in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary and Vancouver, Counsel’s acclaimed team draws on decades of experience in both the public and private sectors to bridge the gap between those inside and outside of government.
“LRC has been focused on creating narratives and content for clients that get people talking,” said Lloyd Rang, President and CEO of LRC. “Joining forces with Counsel allows our boutique firm to access greater capacity and create a larger platform for clients, including adding Counsel’s considerable experience and expertise in government relations to our arsenal of services.”
LRC is an award-winning communications firm that was formed just three years ago. It specializes in narrative, digital and content development and communications training for private and public-sector clients ranging in size from tech startups and NGOs to corporate superstars.
The combined capabilities of Counsel and LRC will strengthen their bids on large, complex projects — better serving the strategic needs of clients who want to get their leaders seen, their stories told and their voices heard. Counsel will continue to service its own communications clients in-house and the two firms will retain their independence, coming together as needed to compete as a team.
The preferred partnership took effect on November 6, 2020.
