Jennifer
Combining her passion for government relations, public policy development and communications, Jennifer is an impactful addition to the Counsel team. Prior to joining Counsel, she served as the Vice President, Prairies and the North for Restaurants Canada.
Jennifer has held various positions working in the Alberta government, including Senior Press Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Press Secretary to the Associate Minister of Natural Gas and Electricity. During her time at the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, Jennifer spent many years advocating for small businesses in the prairie region.
Jennifer spent over half a decade working in Saskatchewan with the CFIB in multiple policy and government relations-focused positions and built a wealth of knowledge on all things Saskatchewan politics and policy. She also effectively lobbied and worked collaboratively with both elected officials and senior members of the public service on a number of major policy wins. With Restaurants Canada, Jennifer was the definitive voice for the province’s restaurant and foodservice sector. She regularly met Cabinet Ministers, key political staff, and most recently presented pre-budget recommendations to Premier Moe, Minister Harpauer, Minister Duncan and Minister Harrison. She has also built an expansive network of media contacts from all across the province.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Western University and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Bristol.
