Kait LaForce Promoted to Associate Vice President

Counsel Public Affairs is pleased to announce the promotion of Kait LaForce to Associate Vice President, recognizing her continued professional growth, strong leadership, and expanding role within the firm’s Ottawa team.

Kait has taken on increasing responsibility at Counsel, managing a growing portfolio of client files and providing strategic advice on government relations, advocacy, and communications. Her ability to navigate complex issues and deliver thoughtful, results-driven strategies has made her a valued member of the team.

“Kait has consistently demonstrated strong strategic judgment, leadership, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results for our clients,” said John Delacourt, Senior Vice President. “She has continued to take on greater responsibility, building trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues. This promotion is a well-deserved recognition of her contributions to Counsel and the important role she plays on our Ottawa team.”

With more than a decade of experience in government relations, strategic communications, and parliamentary affairs, Kait brings a deep understanding of the federal political landscape to her work. Prior to entering consulting, she held senior communications roles on Parliament Hill, including with the Liberal Research Bureau and the Office of the Deputy Government Whip, where she supported strategic messaging, issues management, and stakeholder engagement.

Outside of her work at Counsel, Kait is an active community advocate, serving on the boards of the Ottawa Disability Coalition and Vascular Anomalies Canada.
