Meera is a government relations professional who is passionate about helping others to raise their voices and drive innovative solutions to some of our country’s most complex challenges. 

As a Senior Consultant at Counsel Public Affairs, Meera combines her expertise in government relations and Indigenous facilitation with her detailed oriented project management style. In her work, she has advised and successfully executed strategies for clients across a variety of sectors, including nonprofits, professional associations, land development, child care, health care, and telecommunications.  

Prior to joining Counsel, Meera has worked with not-for-profit organizations at the national and international level. She was the Co-Chair of Queen’s Feminist Leadership in Politics, Canada’s largest post-secondary, non-partisan organization dedicated to the intersectional empowerment of women and their allies within positions of higher political leadership and was a National Outreach Director for Girl Up Canada, the Canadian division of Girl Up Campaign based out of the U.N Foundation. 

Meera currently sits on the Interim Board of Directors for the Women’s Nonprofit Network (WNN), Canada’s first non-profit organization dedicated to making career advancement more accessible for women in the non-profit realm. 

She holds an Honours Bachelor in Political Studies and Global Development from Queen’s University, and a Certificate in Business from the Smith School of Business.
