The Air Canada Pilots Association (ACPA) retained Counsel to create an integrated government relations and public relations strategy to ensure that outdated federal regulations negatively impacting the day-to-day work of pilots were amended to align with current international standards.

Ontario Real Estate Association

With a review of the Municipal Act on the horizon and the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing publicly discussing a change to allow any municipality to impose an additional land transfer tax on home purchases (as only Toronto has the right to do currently), the Ontario Real Estate Association engaged Counsel to provide strategic advice, direct advocacy, and support messaging and material development to stop the tax from moving forward.

Conceivable Dreams

Conceivable Dreams

Counsel was hired by a pharmaceutical manufacturer and an advocacy organization for families with infertility challenges, Conceivable Dreams, to help secure Ontario government funding for in vitro fertilization (IVF) for couples who wanted to become parents but couldn’t due to infertility. The challenge was to obtain a commitment to a new funding program despite the province’s current financial pressures.
