OTTAWA, January 15, 2020 – Counsel Public Affairs is pleased to welcome Bridget Howe to its Ottawa team as Senior Consultant, Federal Advocacy.
“I’m proud to be joining Counsel’s team of experienced consultants at such an important time here in Ottawa and across the country. I’m looking forward to helping our clients navigate the complexities of a minority parliament and achieve their public affairs objectives,” said Howe.
Prior to joining Counsel, Howe worked in an MP’s office on Parliament Hill, in the Liberal caucus research bureau, and also in a Member’s constituency office. She played an active role on a number of election and by-election campaigns at both the federal and provincial levels.
Outside of politics, she spent three years abroad studying French, receiving advanced French language certification from the Paris Chamber of Commerce (CCIP), before making Ottawa her home.
“We’re thrilled to have Bridget join our team. Her years of in-the-field political experience, strong network and strategic thinking will make her a tremendous asset for our clients as they contend with a changed federal political landscape,” said Sheamus Murphy, Counsel’s Vice President, Federal Advocacy.
Howe holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy from the University of Guelph, and has completed courses with Algonquin College on issues facing Indigenous peoples, diversity and victim assistance, childhood victimization and violence against women.
