OTTAWA, February 18, 2021 – Counsel Public Affairs is pleased to welcome David Murray to its federal team as Senior Consultant, Federal Advocacy and Polling

“We are thrilled to have David join our federal team. His insights into political strategy and public opinion research will help drive policy change for our clients,” said Sheamus Murphy, Partner, Federal Advocacy at Counsel. “We are especially excited to have David on board to help Counsel expand its services to include public opinion research. We look forward to launching this new service, which will use data to inform the development of narratives for our clients that reflect the public mood of key groups of voters.”

David brings years of experience in Conservative politics to Counsel’s federal team. He most recently served as a senior advisor in the Conservative Research Group, supporting the Conservative caucus in the House of Commons.

As the Conservative Party of Canada’s National Pollster for the 2019 Canadian General Election, David’s public opinion research helped to inform policy development and political narratives.

Public opinion research joins a long list of services Counsel offers, including government relations, strategic communications, “PR 4 GR” advocacy campaigns, thought leadership and profile building, crisis communications, and Indigenous facilitation.
