OTTAWA, September 8th, 2022 – Counsel Public Affairs is pleased to announce that John Delacourt has joined our government relations and communications practice as Senior Vice President. Based in our Ottawa office with a primary focus on the federal government, John will provide service to clients across Canada.

For five years running, John has been recognized as a Top 100 Lobbyist in Canada on the Hill Times’ annual list. He has extensive agency and political experience, where he has developed expertise in a broad range of sectors including media and telecommunications, manufacturing, technology, financial services, and healthcare.
A contributing writer for Policy magazine and the author of three books, John is also a frequent commentator on federal politics and public policy for broadcast and print media outlets in Ottawa and Toronto. He is on the Board of Directors for Refugee Hub Canada and the National Advisory Council for The Walrus.
John’s understanding of the public policy process at all three levels of government will make him a vital team member alongside Counsel’s partners, consultants and associates across Canada.
