WINNIPEG, September 24, 2021 – Counsel Public Affairs is pleased to announce that Logan Ross will be joining its national public affairs and communications practice as Vice President, Communications and Campaigns.

“Logan knows what it takes to impact public policy through both direct advocacy and public affairs campaigns,” said Bob Lopinski, Counsel Partner and Communications and Campaigns Practice Lead. “Having served at the highest levels of government and politics in Manitoba, Ontario and Ottawa, she is a natural campaigner and brings with her a strong network across the country.”

Prior to joining Counsel, Logan was the Executive Director, Strategic Planning and Operations to the Premier of Manitoba. In that role, she was responsible for strategic communications, marketing, research, stakeholder relations, digital, tour and events, regional cabinet operations and the Premier’s Secretariat.

During her time in Manitoba, Logan also served as the Provincial Lead on Communications and Stakeholder Relations for the Vaccination Implementation Task Force (VITF) and for all COVID-19 efforts.

Logan previously served as Principal Secretary to the former Leader of the Ontario PC Party and Leader of the Opposition. She has past experience as a Vice President at a Toronto-based public affairs firm, and was a Member of Parliament’s Assistant.

Logan will work closely with Gord Mackintosh, Counsel Principal and former NDP Manitoba Minister of Justice and Attorney General, in expanding Counsel’s growing client base in Manitoba.

“I am excited to join Counsel’s growing national team of senior public affairs and communications professionals,” said Ross. “I am equally excited that this role gives me the opportunity to apply my communications and campaign expertise and my extensive government experience to support Counsel’s clients.”

As part of our national public affairs and lobbying activities, Counsel’s communications practice specializes in the provision of crisis communications, strategic communications, media training, and “PR 4 GR” campaign services. Building on this expertise, Counsel launched its public opinion research practice early this year.

Established in 2004, Counsel has grown to become a national firm, with 27 consultants in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto and Ottawa.

Counsel is thrilled to welcome Logan effective October 18, 2021.
