Tina Beaudry-Mellor is a former Saskatchewan cabinet minister and thought leader with extensive knowledge in politics and government, strategic thinking and education policy.
Prior to joining Counsel, Tina was elected Member of the Legislative Assembly for Regina University on April 4, 2016. On February 2, 2018, Tina was appointed to Premier Scott Moe’s first cabinet as Minister of Advanced Education, as well as Minister responsible for Innovation Saskatchewan and reappointed Minister responsible for the Status of Women Office. She previously served as Minister of Social Services under the leadership of Premier Brad Wall.
In 2018, Tina implemented the Saskatchewan Technology Startup Incentive (STSI), the most aggressive angel investment tax credit in Western Canada. She is a passionate advocate for the growth of our entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Tina has published in peer reviewed journals, op-eds and business magazines, commentating both on political & social issues. She also served as the chief political analyst for Global Regina for every federal and provincial election from 2007 to 2015 where provided political analysis for radio, television and print media.
A long-time instructor in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Regina, Tina was awarded for outstanding teaching as both a sessional and the President’s Teaching & Learning Scholars Award for Excellence in her collaboration on teaching civic engagement for post-secondary institutions.
In addition to her academic work, she owned a small management consulting business where she did considerable policy work, most notably on streamlining processes for clients of both the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee program and on the Saskatchewan Surgical Initiative to reduce surgical wait times.
At Counsel, Tina brings her passion for politics, policy expertise and cross-country network to deliver results for clients.
Tina is mother of twins who are both attending university and a lover of all things outdoors, except for golf.
