As Counsel Public Affairs continues to expand, we are pleased to welcome two new team members to support the operational needs of our fast-growing firm.

Patricia Ferreira joins Counsel as Financial and Operations Administrator. Patricia is a versatile professional with extensive experience managing operational, financial, and human resources processes for multi-national corporations.

Prior to joining Counsel, she served for four years in Operations and Purchasing at an end-of-life electronics recycler, where her work included leading purchasing processes, reporting on key budget metrics, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation, coordinating office operations, negotiating supplier contracts, and maintaining HR systems.

Patricia holds a BA in Business Administration and an MBA in Human Resources Development. She will support the financial administration of the firm, as well as leading office operations and management for all consultants and staff across the country.

Jignasha Gohil joins Counsel as Compliance Associate. Jignasha holds an LL.B., a Master’s in Finance, and is a certified Company Secretary. She brings her breadth of skills in business, finance, and law to Counsel.

She has served as a Corporate Secretary and Paralegal in multiple environments, including investment banking, law, and industry. At her most recent posting, she held a wide range of responsibilities, such as legal and financial research, advising on legal and tax implications, reporting to regulatory bodies, preparing financial reports, and facilitating communication across departments.

Jignasha will coordinate the firm’s compliance with regulatory and business bodies across the country, including maintenance of lobbyist registrations at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels of government.
