Kait LaForce Joins Counsel’s Federal Team as Senior Account Director.

Kait holds more than a decade of experience in government relations, strategic communications, and parliamentary affairs. For the past eight years, she has been a consultant, advising clients across sectors on government relations, advocacy and communications strategies.

Before moving into consulting, Kait worked on Parliament Hill in senior communications roles. As a Strategist and Writer at the Liberal Research Bureau, she developed messaging, communications materials, and strategic products to support Members of Parliament, while liaising between the Prime Minister’s Office and government departments to coordinate public messaging. She also served as a Communications Advisor in the Office of the Deputy Government Whip, leading on issues management, media relations, and stakeholder engagement.

Kait began her career in the non-profit sector, focusing on sponsorship, partnerships, and stakeholder relations. She has managed corporate donor relationships and led national communications and marketing campaigns that advanced organizational impact.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University and was honoured with the Terry Fox Humanitarian Award for her commitment to community service and leadership in the non-profit sector.

Outside of work, Kait is an active community advocate, serving as a Board Member of the Ottawa Disability Coalition and Director-at-Large of Vascular Anomalies Canada.
